We are indeed a small publisher. It’s as punk rock as it gets. We operate from coast to coast and out of Brandon’s living room. We’re very fresh, and we want to express that. It’s been flattering to have so many creators think we’re bigger than we are, but you can thank our amazing team for that.
Meet the Team
Brandon Bloxdorf is the founder and host of Apollo City Comics Podcast, co-founder of Apollo City Comics Publishing, and the Director of Brand and Community at Comix Wellspring. With a BFA in Creative Writing, he has worked with various indie artists to put out Apollo’s first anthology, a punk rock comic book titled ...And Out Come The Comics.
Apollo City Comics now has over 20+ titles in production including works by Brandon such as Teenage Babylon, Fake Your Death, various anthologies, and more!
After 5 successful years of running the Apollo City Comics Podcast, Brandon has embarked on a new journey as the host of Comix Wellspring’s shows, Inspired Ink — a show where he conducts exclusive interviews with indie creators to help continuously inspire others to create comics — and Spilled Ink — a live-drawing show where Brandon and co-host Max Flowers ink various art pieces while discussing the process.
By day he’s growing and sharing the indie comic book community, and by night he devours universes.
Alex Batts is the Chief Operations Officer for Apollo City Comics, Marketing Coordinator for Comix Wellspring, and Head of Content and Data Management for Lesser Known Comics. Driven by a passion for storytelling and creativity, Alex worked with a roster of talented creators to put out Apollo’s second anthology, a cyberpunk comic book titled CyberSync.
Alex has several other titles in various stages of production and handles a variety of side-projects ranging from podcasts to articles, newsletters, and social media coverage. Planning and execution are his bread and butter, and he uses his passion to grow in the indie comic community.
Max Flowers is an illustrator and comic artist who's created stories such as BUBBLES, Stage Fright for the Apollo City Comics' ... And Out Come the Comics punk anthology, and more. An avid comic fan, they continue to do all they can to learn more about the comic craft and uplift the comic community.
Eric Allred is an introvert by nature, a Sagittarius by birth, a husband by marriage and a watch wearer by choice. Currently he lives in the outskirts of Austin, TX with two dogs and crippling anxiety. A filmmaker and writer, he is the co-creator of Outer Spaced.
